Winona Ryder previously expressed disappointment at not becoming friends with Angelina Jolie on the set of James Mangold’s 1999 drama Girl, Interrupted. Turns out, she’s not the only one who feels that way. Elisabeth Moss, who plays Polly ‘Torch’ Clark in the film, admitted she also had difficulty approaching the Tomb Raider actress. She felt extremely scared in the presence of Jolie and her friends. In an interview via Kelly Ripa’s Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast, actress Elisabeth Moss opened up about her time working with Angelina Jolie on Girl, Interrupted. What’s interesting is that two different factions were formed on the set.

There’s the Winona Ryder camp and the Angelina Jolie camp. Off camera, but based on what’s on camera, based on the script. I was in the Winona Ryder camp. Angelina Jolie’s camp is really cool. I’m threatened by Angelina Jolie’s side. I never thought I could be in that camp.
The actress did not feel confident and cool enough to go out with Jolie. She added: “I’ve spoken to Angelina since then and she’s lovely, but at the time it was scary.” Moss just knew that she wouldn’t be able to keep up with Jolie’s team. Regardless of her experience, she admits she’s had a blast on set. The girl was about 15 years old and was accompanied by her mother. “I was with all these movie stars. Winona Ryder! Angelina Jolie! Clea DuVall! Britney Murphy! ”, the actress added.
