Williams Family Home Auctioned Amidst Drama Over Alleged Mismanagement and Legal Disputes

It appears that the ongoing saga involving Serena and Venus Williams’ childhood home is nearing its conclusion. The $1.4 million property is set to be sold to the highest bidder, aiming to settle a half-million-dollar debt incurred by their stepmother, Lakeisha Williams, who has reportedly reconciled with their father, Richard.

The controversy stems from allegations that Lakeisha, a former stripper, allegedly transferred ownership of the property into her name without Richard’s knowledge, prompting him to file for divorce. However, after seven years, Richard has seemingly reversed his decision to divorce.

Despite objections from Richard’s son, Chavoita LesSane, who accuses Lakeisha of exploiting his father, the home is scheduled for auction on July 18. Following the sale, Lakeisha is expected to move into Richard’s Palm Beach Gardens residence, which ironically is owned by Serena Williams.

Chavoita LesSane has accused Lakeisha of forging Richard’s signature to transfer the mansion’s ownership to her and subsequently borrowing $279,000 against the property. The debt escalated to $620,000 due to legal fees and interest, currently standing at $436,113 prior to the home’s sale. Allegations include further financial misconduct, such as selling Richard’s cars and cashing his social security checks without consent, amidst claims that Richard is suffering from dementia and memory loss after multiple strokes.

The situation highlights ongoing legal and familial disputes within the Williams family, revolving around financial mismanagement and allegations of elder abuse against Richard, who has a prominent role in the tennis world as a coach.
