UEFA Clears Yellow Card for Spanish Player

In a surprising turn of events, forward Alvaro Morata has not been booked with a yellow card during the final minutes of Spain’s match against Germany and will be eligible to play in the Euro 2024 Semi-Final against France.

During the closing moments of the Spain vs. Germany match, the Euro 2024 broadcast mistakenly announced that forward Alvaro Morata received a yellow card. This would have meant that the number 7 would be suspended for the next Euro 2024 match.

However, this is not the case. According to the post-match report from UEFA, Morata did not receive a yellow card. The player who was actually booked at that moment was Fabian Ruiz.

Therefore, the captain of the Spanish national team can still participate in the Semi-Final match against France. This is excellent news for La Roja, as Morata plays a crucial role in Coach De La Fuente’s tactical system at Euro 2024.

Spain has faced significant setbacks following their victory over Germany. Carvajal and De Normand are suspended due to accumulated yellow cards. Additionally, Pedri suffered an injury and is likely to miss the rest of Euro 2024.
