Peter Fury, Tyson’s uncle and former trainer, joined the chorus of critics, arguing that there were too many voices in the corner. “There should only be one man in the corner, there shouldn’t be three or four,” Peter said. “Some are too emotional and some are giving the wrong advice.”

Peter emphasized the need for clear and concise communication during a fight, lamenting the chaotic atmosphere in Tyson’s corner. “You’ve got to give precise, clear information. It’s going a bit panicky and it’s all over the place,” he noted. “How can you listen to all that? The game plan was wrong and only one should be speaking.”

He further stressed the importance of having a disciplined and professional corner team. “If someone is talking in the corner, I’d say shut your mouth now or get out. It’s happened before. I’m not having anything go on in that corner. You’re the bucket man, you wash the gumshield out, you wipe his head down, do not speak. That’s their instruction, and if they speak, when they get back to the dressing room, sacked on the spot.”
