Tyson Fury’s Father Faced Criticism From His Own Brother For His Behavior During The Defeat.

Earlier this month, Fury was defeated by Usyk in Saudi Arabia, losing the opportunity to claim the undisputed heavyweight world title. Despite Fury’s strong performance in the first half, the fight took a turn in the ninth round when Usyk nearly knocked him down. Footage later revealed that Fury’s corner, including his father, had told him he was ahead and didn’t need to pursue a knockout. This advice has since been scrutinized, especially considering the split decision, with only one judge siding with Fury and the other two favoring Usyk.

Peter Fury, who had previously trained Tyson Fury to victory in his first world title match against Wladimir Klitschko in 2015, expressed his concerns over the number of voices in Tyson’s corner. Speaking to October Red, he stated, “In a fight, there should be one person delivering instructions, not three or four. Emotions can run high, and this can lead to conflicting or poor advice.”

Peter pointed out that Sugar Hill was the only one in the corner who seemed to offer sensible advice during the final stages of the fight, urging Fury to increase his pressure on Usyk. “When you’re in a fight, clear and precise instructions are crucial, regardless of personal relationships. I always ensure the fighter understands the strategy by asking, ‘Are you listening? Do you understand what I’ve just told you?’ This ensures the fighter remains focused and executes the plan effectively.”
