It’s fascinating to revisit the sparring session between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua at Finchley Boxing Club back in 2010. At the time, Fury was already making waves in the professional circuit with an 11-0 record, while Joshua was still gaining experience as an amateur. Despite the disparity in experience, Joshua’s raw talent and determination left a lasting impression on Fury.

In his recollection of the session, Fury acknowledged Joshua’s skill and power, describing how Joshua surprised him with his speed and aggression, particularly landing a significant uppercut that made an impact. Fury, known for his resilience, managed to weather Joshua’s onslaught and eventually slowed down the pace with body shots. This encounter highlighted Joshua’s potential even at a young age, prompting Fury to predict a promising future for him in boxing.

Joshua, reflecting on the spar later, emphasized the mutual respect and toughness they both exhibited in the ring. He didn’t delve into specifics but acknowledged the intense nature of their session, showcasing their similar fighting spirit and determination.

Despite this early meeting and subsequent developments in their careers, a professional showdown between Fury and Joshua has yet to materialize due to various reasons, much to the anticipation of boxing fans worldwide.
