Tyson Fury has issued a stark warning ahead of his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, vowing to redeem himself after their recent bout. Usyk dealt Fury a split decision loss last month, thwarting Fury’s quest to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion in 25 years.
Fury, initially in control, faced a resurgent Usyk who nearly stopped him in the latter half of the fight, ultimately winning on points. Usyk’s trainer, Oleksandr Gvozdyk, predicts a tougher rematch for Fury, confident that Usyk’s momentum will carry through to their December 21 showdown.
“Fury is better off fighting Anthony Joshua,” Gvozdyk remarked, highlighting Usyk’s psychological edge in their first encounter. Despite recent speculations about Fury’s mindset post-loss, he reaffirmed his determination to reclaim victory.
“I’m back in the gym,” Fury declared in a training video. “December 21 is my time. I’ve done everything in boxing but haven’t come back from a loss. This is my chance for redemption.”
Usyk, currently holding undisputed titles, is likely to lose his IBF belt soon, but their rematch remains highly anticipated in the boxing world.
