Tyson Fury has just released the full scorecard for his match with Oleksandr Usyk and confirmed that he defeated the Ukrainian boxer easily.

Tyson Fury believes he beat Oleksandr Usyk by a fairly wide margin after watching the fight back again.

The Gypsy King suffered the first defeat of his career to the Ukrainian last month as he missed out on the chance to become undisputed heavyweight world champion and was dethroned of his WBC belt.

A split decision saw Fury beaten in the end, with two of the three judges favouring Usyk as the victor.

Judge Manuel Oliver Palomo scored the fight 115-112 to Usyk, meaning he won seven rounds and Fury won five.

Judge Mike Fitzgerald scored the fight 114-113 to Usyk, meaning both men won six rounds apiece with the 10-8 knockdown round in the ninth proving to be the deciding factor in the Ukrainian’s favour.

And judge Craig Metcalfe scored the fight 114-113 to Fury, meaning he won seven rounds and Usyk won five.

However, Fury has now given his own verdict after rewatching the bout on multiple occasions in the month since.

Fury said on his Furocity YouTube Channel: “I’ve watched the fight back lots of times and still got the same answer – I thought I won the fight.

“Usyk knows he didn’t beat me…

“I thought I boxed the head right off him for most of the rounds.

Fury’s scorecard for the Usyk fight had himself a wide winner

“He landed good punch in round eight and busted my nose, in round nine he had a 10-8 round, and I gave him round ten.

“But other than that I didn’t give him any other rounds.”

This means that Fury scored the fight 116-111, meaning he won nine rounds and Usyk won just three.

Fury also disputed the scorecards in the ring immediately after the fight, making some bizarre claims.

“I believe I won that fight. I believe he won a few of the rounds but I won the majority of them,” he said.

“What can you do? It’s one of the decisions in boxing. We both put on a good fight. Best we could do…

“I’ll be back, I’ve got a rematch clause. We go back. Have a little rest up, spend some time with my family and we go again in October.”

Fury later suggested that the judges sided with Usyk because of the Russian war in Ukraine.

The pair will have the opportunity to settle the score in their rematch on December 21.
