Travis Kelce refuses to take part in Taylor Swift’s Christmas tradition and says ‘don’t torture me’
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been dating since 2023.
Travis Kelce has reportedly stated that he will not be taking part in one of Taylor Swift’s favourite Christmas activities.
Back in the summer of 2023, it emerged that NFL star Kelce and pop sensation Swift had started dating.
In February this year, the pair were spotted sharing a heart-warming moment during the Super Bowl final.
With Christmas just around the corner, it has been claimed that Swift is a fan of the popular festive film, ‘Love Actually’.
The film was first released back in 2003 and stars the likes of Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson and Alan Rickman.
As reported by the New York Post, Swift has been known as a fan of ‘Love Actually’ and the topic of watching the film was mentioned to Kelce during his appearance on the New Heights podcast.
The NFL star was quick to reject the idea of watching the film, Kelce’s brother Jason’s wife Kylie said: “‘Love Actually’ is a tremendous movie that you can really sit down with your significant others and enjoy because it’s not like one of your significant others hasn’t asked you to watch it multiple times and you (Jason) said no every time.
“So this would be a great excuse to get you to watch it.”
Travis then had to pick up his phone to Google the film as it did not ring a bell, before saying: “Yeah, don’t f***ing torture me; torture your husband. I’m an innocent bystander here, Ky. Don’t f***ing come for me.”
Jason then added: “I think we can both probably agree we’re not doing ‘Love Actually’.”
Swift has been pictured regularly at Chiefs games since the pair went public with their relationship, and critics have suggested it is merely a publicity stunt. But Chiefs President Mark Donovan insists that everything about it is authentic, and he’s happy to respect that.
“I’d love to say that it was a marketing strategy, but it is an authentic relationship, and we’re happy to have it,” he said on CNBC via GB News.
“I think the best thing I can say about the whole relationship and the impact it’s had on us is: Taylor Swift is an authentic member of the Kansas City Chiefs kingdom.
“She is an authentic fan, and that matters to our fans and our fanbase, and it matters to us and we try to respect that.”
