Travis Kelce acknowledges that from an external perspective, he and his brother Jason Kelce might not seem to share many similarities.

In an interview with Good Morning America’s Will Reeve on June 6, the 34-year-old NFL star discussed the success of their podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce. Travis revealed that he initiated the podcast with the intention of showcasing their bond to fans. “If you looked at us on two different teams, you really didn’t even think we were brothers; we just had the same last name,” Travis quipped, teasing Jason’s laid-back style. “Just because he’s like, the neanderthal that wears flip flops in the winter and doesn’t even care what he looks like and I like to throw on fashionable stuff and have fun.”

However, perceptions changed after the launch of their podcast in September 2022. Despite Travis playing for the Kansas City Chiefs and Jason having been with the Philadelphia Eagles, the podcast quickly gained popularity. In March, it was honored as the podcast of the year at iHeartMedia’s 2024 iHeartPodcast Awards.
