Recently, the Kansas City Chiefs player had the opportunity to meet with President Joe Biden to commemorate his team’s Super Bowl victory. During his visit to the White House on May 31, Travis Kelce maintained decorum, briefly addressing the audience alongside President Biden. “My fellow Americans, it’s a pleasure to see you all once again,” remarked the 34-year-old in acknowledgment of the Chiefs’ multiple Super Bowl triumphs. However, he added humorously, “I’ll be honest, President Biden. They warned me that if I came up here, I’d get tased. So I’ll just head back to my spot.”
“That’s no joke. The Secret Service agents stationed throughout the White House weren’t too pleased with me,” he revealed to his brother and cohost, Jason Kelce. “They were quite displeased with me during my second visit.”
“When I arrived [this year], about four or five Secret Service agents approached me,” Travis recounted. “They said, ‘Do you realize that if you approach that podium, we have authorization to tase you? It’s actually mandated for us to tase you.'”
