Former Vogue editor, Anna Wintour, reportedly delivered her verdict on Meghan Markle‘s Paris Fashion Week outfit.
The pair came face to face at the Balenciaga fashion show on Saturday night (October 4), where the fashion icon apparently gave the royal a five-word comment on her look.

Meghan appears to have attended the event without her husband, Prince Harry. While working as an actress, she was once a regular at New York and Toronto Fashion Weeks.
It is the first time 44-year-old Meghan has visited Europe since 2023, when she appeared at the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany.
In a video shared on X, Meghan, dressed in all white, was seen greeting Anna Wintour.
“How are you?” Meghan asked, as Wintour told her: “Nice to see you.”
The pair then gave each other a classy kiss on the cheek, after which, according to the Mirror, Anna appeared to tell Meghan: “Beautiful, cherie. You look amazing.”

Meghan was snapped wearing crisp white wide leg trousers, paired with a matching blouse. Stealing the show was a dramatic white oversized cape trailing behind her. She contrasted the look with black pointed-toe heels and a black clutch bag.
According to Hello!, Meghan’s look was designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli, the Italian fashion designer who was named creative director of Balenciaga in May 2025.

A spokesperson for Meghan told the magazine of her look: “Over the years, the duchess has worn a number of designs by Pierpaolo. They have worked closely together, collaborating on design for key moments on the world stage.”
“She has long admired his craftsmanship and modern elegance, and tonight was no different,” they went on. “This evening reflects the culmination of many years of artistry and friendship, reflected in her support for his new creative chapter at Balenciaga.”
Later on in the night, the duchess reportedly changed into a sleek black dress with an asymmetrical neckline for a Balenciaga after-party.
Meghan Markle backlash
Meghan has since shared an Instagram reel of her Paris Fashion Week trip. It shows footage of her exploring Paris, getting ready and then posing at the star-studded event.
“About last night,” the Duchess of Sussex captioned the video montage, adding: “Thank you @pppiccioli and @balenciaga. I’ve missed you France – thanks for the love.”
However, Meghan was hit by backlash for another clip that she shared on her social media.
The video in question showed the duchess putting her feet up on the seat while being driven through the French capital, allegedly nearby the tunnel where her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, got into a car crash.
