Former world champion Mike Tyson has had to postpone his scheduled bout with Jake Paul, which was set to take place on July 20th. Initially planned to be held at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas (USA), this event was expected to be a significant one, marking the first boxing match to be streamed on Netflix. Unfortunately, the match cannot proceed as planned.
Netflix, the streaming platform slated to broadcast the match, has officially confirmed the event’s postponement.
“We regret to inform you that the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson bout scheduled for July 20th will not take place as planned,” Netflix’s announcement stated. “Tyson’s recent ulcer flare-up has hindered his ability to train fully in the upcoming weeks. The match will be rescheduled for later this year to allow Mike time to recover and both fighters to adequately prepare for this grand showdown.”
Just a few days ago, Mike Tyson encountered health issues while on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. Tyson experienced nausea and dizziness due to a ruptured ulcer. According to a witness, medical personnel rushed onto the plane upon landing to provide medical assistance to the boxing legend.
