The boxer who defeated Jake Paul, Tommy Fury, makes a bold statement about the Mike Tyson vs. Jack Paul

Undefeated boxer Tommy Fury didn’t hold back when asked about the upcoming Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing match. Fury, who handed Paul his first professional loss earlier this year, criticized the fight, questioning Paul’s choice of opponent.

“Well, he couldn’t beat me. So he’s going to fight grandads now… which is terrible, you know. What you was, isn’t what you are now,” Fury commented, highlighting the significant age difference between Paul and Tyson. “Mike Tyson is an absolute legend, deserved the utmost respect.”

Fury’s remarks underscore the mixed reactions from the boxing community regarding the bout. While some view it as a spectacle, others see it as a mismatch, given Tyson’s age and long hiatus from professional boxing.

“Listen, it is what it is. If Mike don’t knock him out, I will next time,” Fury added, suggesting that he is eager for a rematch with Paul to settle unfinished business.

The fight, originally scheduled for July 20 in Arlington, Texas, has been postponed due to Tyson experiencing health complications. Despite the delay, anticipation remains high, with fans and pundits alike eager to see how the matchup unfolds.

For now, Tommy Fury stands ready, poised to take on Jake Paul again if the opportunity arises, and confident in his ability to deliver another decisive victory.
