Sylvester Stallone, renowned for his love of luxury watches, is putting a portion of his esteemed collection up for auction through Sotheby’s in June. The highlight of the sale is a Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime 6300, never worn by Stallone and still sealed in its original packaging.
The Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime 6300 is a coveted timepiece, known for its complexity and craftsmanship. Stallone’s version, made of white gold, boasts impressive features such as five different chime modes, including a grande sonnerie and petite sonnerie, and an alarm function.
What sets this auction apart is the inclusion of additional items that come with the watch, personalized for Stallone. These include a presentation box engraved with Stallone’s name, a “Grandmaster Chime book,” a certificate of origin, and various accessories like cufflinks, an iPad, and Apple earpods, all branded by Patek Philippe.
While the Grandmaster Chime steals the spotlight, Stallone’s collection also features other notable timepieces, including Panerai and Rolex watches. Among them is a Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 PAM00382, known for its association with Stallone’s movie, “The Expendables 2,” and a gem-set Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1300A-001.
With estimates ranging from $2.5 million to $5 million for the Grandmaster Chime, Stallone’s auction is expected to draw significant attention from watch enthusiasts and collectors alike.
