Canelo Álvarez and Terence Crawford will face in a spectacular fight at the end of this year, and the September 13 clash will put into play the undisputed title of supermedian weight.
Crawford will need to raise two divisions to face Canelo, since his last fight was in the 154 pounds. Many doubt how Crawford’s power would move to a superior division, especially against a fighter with a jaw as powerful as Canelo. ‘Bud’ has 31 knockouts in its 41 fights.
Coach Stephen Edwards has given his opinion on the confrontation and, in addition to betting on the victory of Crawford, offered a simple reason why ‘Bud’ could hurt Canelo.

Speaking to Fight Hub TV, he said:
Anyone can be injured in a fight. Canelo has a great jaw, however. But anyone can get hurt on any night. Never think that someone cannot be injured. Some of the best jaws I’ve seen have been hurt. Holyfield, Durán, anyone can be hurt.
Crawford does not fight since August 2024, when he defeated Israil Madrimov. However, Edwards does not believe that the long rest affects him. Said:
It is always effective. Every time you rest, you never look oxidized. It is one of those fighters who are never oxidized. This applies to many fighters, but he challenges logic because he is not oxidized with his breaks.
Canelo vs. Crawford promises to be a fight that will mark a generation. With a victory, either could catapult himself to the list of the best of all time.
