Tiger Woods watched his son Charlie in the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship but it proved a day to forget as the youngster had a meltdown on the back-nine that all but ended his hopes.

The 16-year-old golf prodigy recently produced a landmark win and has been in impressive form so far this season since undergoing a noticeable body transformation. He played his way into the the tournament with a playoff win at a qualifier earlier this year.

But he carded an 11-over-par round of 81 on the opening day that left him 241st out of 264 golfers. He had a meltdown on the back-nine, going nine-over in an eight-hole spell including three double-bogeys in five holes on a frustrating day. It comes after his net worth emerged after his ‘I’m broke’ claim and trust fund revelation.
