As Dr. Semir “Sam” Osmanagic puts it, when he discovered Bosnia’s first pyramid , he suspected it was a find that could lead to a rewriting of history. What he didn’t know, however, was how old the building was.
Proof of this came in June 2012, when a team of volunteers led by Italian archaeologists discovered a fossilized leaf.
They found it on one of the blocks covering the structure known as the “Mother Pyramid” or “Pyramid of the Sun.” Led by Dr. Riccardo Brett and Niccolo Bisconti, they sent the organic material to a laboratory in kyiv, Ukraine, to determine its age.
Carbon-14 tests showed that the age of the leaf ranged from plus or minus 200 years to 24,800 years. This puts it at between 24,600 and 25,000 years old.
According to current history books, the oldest civilizations on Earth are the Babylonians and Sumerians, who lived about 5,000 years ago. The Bosnian pyramids are therefore ten thousand years older than these ancient civilizations.
In 2005, when the Pyramid of the Sun was discovered, researchers requested a soil sample from the surface layer that covered the structure. Dating was done using the radiocarbon method and revealed an age of up to 12,000 years.
The discoveries made seven years later once again confirm the great age of this pyramid and challenge science to think back to the time when Earth’s civilizations built monumental structures such as the Bosnian pyramids.
For anyone interested in visiting the Bosnian Pyramids and experiencing for themselves the oldest known pyramids in the world, Body Mind Spirit Journeys is offering a Spiritual Traveler Group Tour from March 16-27, 2019.
The tour is led by ancient alien expert and bestselling author of Magdalene Line, Kathleen McGowan, and includes visits to Bosnia’s Pyramid of the Sun by its discoverer, Dr. Semir “Sam” Osmanagic.
