As Dr. Semir “Sam” Osmanagic says, when he discovered Bosnia’s first pyramid, he suspected it was a discovery that could lead to a rewriting of history. What he didn’t know, however, was how old the building was.
Proof of this came in June 2012, when a team of volunteers led by Italian archaeologists discovered a fossilized leaf.
They found it on one of the blocks covering the structure known as the “Mother Pyramid” or “Pyramid of the Sun.” Under the direction of Dr. Riccardo Brett and Niccolo Bisconti, they sent the organic material to a laboratory in kyiv, Ukraine, to determine its age.
Carbon-14 tests showed that the leaf’s age ranged from plus or minus 200 years to 24,800 years. This puts it between 24,600 and 25,000 years old.
Pyramide excursions
According to current history books, the oldest civilizations on Earth are the Babylonians and Sumerians, who lived about 5,000 years ago. The Bosnian pyramids are therefore 10,000 years older than these ancient civilizations.
In 2005, when the Pyramid of the Sun was discovered, researchers requested a soil sample from the surface layer covering the structure. Radiocarbon dating was performed and revealed an age of up to 12,000 years.
The discoveries made seven years later once again confirm the great age of this pyramid and challenge science to rethink the time when Earth’s civilizations built monumental structures such as the Bosnian pyramids.
For anyone interested in visiting the Bosnian pyramids and experiencing the oldest known pyramids in the world for themselves, Body Mind Spirit Journeys is offering a group tour for spiritual travelers from March 16-27, 2019.
Pyramide excursions
The tour is led by Kathleen McGowan, ancient alien expert and bestselling author of Magdalene Line, and includes visits to Bosnia’s Pyramid of the Sun by its discoverer, Dr. Semir “Sam” Osmanagic.
