SHOCK! De Bruyne reached an agreement to join Saudi Arabia after losing to Mbappé

Sky Italy journalist Rudy Galetti confirms that Kevin De Bruyne is set to move to the Middle East.

The veteran midfielder currently has a contract at Etihad Stadium until the summer of next year. This means the 2024/25 season is the final year of his deal with Manchester City unless extended.

Manchester City is already making contingency plans for a future without De Bruyne. Among the names being pursued by the Premier League champions are Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala and Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz.

De Bruyne is set to leave Etihad.

De Bruyne has admitted that the enormous financial offer from the Middle East has forced him to consider his options for the final stage of his career. Consequently, the likelihood of De Bruyne leaving Man City after EURO 2024 with the Belgium national team is growing.

Most recently, journalist Rudy Galetti of Sky Italy reported that Al Ittihad has received a positive response from De Bruyne after the Saudi Arabian club made an offer to the player and his representative.

Al Ittihad has reached a preliminary agreement with De Bruyne and is now awaiting negotiations with Man City.

De Bruyne is currently Man City’s highest-paid player, earning over £20.8 million per year. However, if he moves to Saudi Arabia, the Belgian midfielder could earn up to £70 million per year.

Since joining Man City in 2015, De Bruyne has enjoyed immense success at Etihad. He has won the Premier League six times, the League Cup five times, the FA Cup twice, and the Champions League once, in addition to the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.
