Serena Williams’ Little Ones Are Already Sister Goals!
On Wednesday, tennis legend Serena Williams, 42, shared an adorable photo of her older daughter Olympia, 6½, seamlessly stepping into her role as a big sister. The heartwarming image captures Olympia beaming while holding her younger sister Adira, whom Williams and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, welcomed in August 2023.
In the photo, Olympia’s grin stretches from ear to ear as she cradles her 7-month-old sister. Standing next to a cart with Williams’ breast-pumping supplies, Olympia appears every bit the devoted big sister. “Big sister hard at work with baby sis,” Williams captioned the post.
Ohanian, 40, chimed in with a loving comment, “Name a more iconic duo. I’ll wait.”
Williams often shares glimpses into her life as a mom to her “main squeeze” Olympia and the newest addition to the family, Adira. These moments range from sweet everyday interactions to the less glamorous aspects of motherhood.
Last month, Williams posted a selfie with Adira asleep on her shoulder, followed by a candid post about embracing her postpartum body. Earlier that day, she had shared an Instagram photo of herself in a bikini, holding Adira on a boat. In the caption, Williams celebrated her body’s journey over the past few months, acknowledging the sacrifices and changes as “worth it.”
“Loving yourself is essential,” she wrote. “I find that I have to remind myself of that self-love through all different stages in my life. Right now, I love that my body is not picture perfect.”
Williams continued, “I love that I smell like milk – that milk sustains @adiraohanian. I love getting to know a new version of my body. It is a change, but it’s a change that has been well worth it. So start this week knowing that you are loved, and that starts with you.”
She concluded the post with a motivational note, “Ok, now I’m about to go to the gym,” before signing off.
Williams’ candidness about her experiences as a mother and her journey of self-love continues to inspire fans and followers, showcasing the beauty and challenges of balancing life as a world-class athlete and a devoted mom.
