Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian Reveals Shocking “Lyme Disease” Diagnosis Despite Having “No Symptoms”

Alexis Ohanian Reveals Lyme Disease Diagnosis

Alexis Ohanian, the 41-year-old entrepreneur and husband of tennis legend Serena Williams, took to social media on Tuesday evening to disclose his recent health diagnosis. Ohanian revealed that he has been diagnosed with Lyme disease, a condition caused by infection from the bite of an infected tick.

In his post on X, Ohanian shared, “Doing a full battery of health scans, tests, etc, and found out I have Lyme disease. Wild. No symptoms, thankfully, but gonna treat. Good cholesterol is too low. Bad cholesterol is just OK. Gotta work on that. On the plus-side: 822 ng/dL total + 162 ng/dL free testosterone.”

He also mentioned that a close individual had previously experienced Lyme disease symptoms, prompting him to undergo testing despite spending minimal time in the wilderness or northeastern regions where ticks are prevalent.

Symptoms of Lyme disease can range from fever and rash to facial paralysis, irregular heartbeat, and arthritis. Early treatment is crucial to prevent the infection from spreading to the nervous system.

Concluding his announcement, the Reddit founder informed his followers about beginning a course of antibiotics for treatment. Lyme disease has affected various public figures in recent years, including celebrities like Avril Lavigne and Justin Bieber. Ohanian emphasized the importance of consulting medical professionals for health advice.

As Ohanian prepares to manage his diagnosis, the supportive messages from his followers underscore the widespread impact of Lyme disease and the importance of early detection and treatment.
