Ryan Garcia angrily SPOKE UP Retiring Until Boxing Ban Ends, Open to UFC Fight and MOCKING Haney

After announcing that he was retiring from boxing on June 19 following a ruling that he would be suspended for a year due to testing positive for a banned substance, Ryan Garcia clarified that his retirement will only last 365 days.

“I’m retiring for a year. So they don’t get the [satisfaction] for suspending me cause it’s bull,” Garcia told TMZ Sports on Sunday. “I never took steroids in my life.”

Garcia was suspended due to positive tests for the performance-enhancing drug ostarine. As part of a settlement with the New York State Athletic Commission on Thursday, Garcia forfeited his disclosed fight purse of $1.2 million from his match against Devin Haney in April and was fined $10,000. His win over Haney was overturned to a no-contest.

While speaking to TMZ, Garcia took aim at Haney and his father as well.

“It does [hurt]. [Devin’s] a ‘b,’ and his daddy’s a ‘b.’ The only reason I’m not cussing is cause my daughter’s here,” he said.

Garcia was also asked about his social media posts that suggested he was interested in fighting in the UFC, and he said he was being serious.

“I like ‘Suga’ Sean [O’Malley] cause he defended me [after cheating allegations]. But if he really wants to run it in the UFC, I’ll run it. Or bare knuckle. S–t, I’m ready to fight anyone at this point,” he said.
