Ricochet Yet to Sign New WWE Contract, Faces Potential Exit

As WWE embarks on a new era following WrestleMania under the leadership of Triple H, not everything is going smoothly. Despite several new champions being crowned, including Cody Rhodes and Bayley, WWE faces a significant issue: Ricochet, the current WWE Intercontinental Champion, has not yet agreed to a new contract.

Ricochet, a leading high-flyer in WWE, has his contract expiring in just three weeks, but has yet to sign a new agreement. This comes despite his real-life partner, fellow WWE star Samantha Irvin, recently signing a lucrative new deal.

At the recent WrestleMania, Ricochet was unsuccessful in his bid to retain the Intercontinental Title against Gunther. However, after Gunther suffered an injury and vacated the title, Ricochet won a battle royal to claim the now-vacant championship shortly thereafter.

Since then, he has been involved in a feud with Santos Escobar, who is determined to prove himself as a top contender in WWE. Ricochet is scheduled to defend his title against Escobar at the King and Queen of the Ring event in Saudi Arabia, just before his contract expires.

According to Fightful, negotiations for Ricochet’s new deal are ongoing, but nothing has been finalized, putting WWE at risk of losing one of its top champions.

The saga follows after Drew McIntyre was within weeks of his contract expiring amid a stand-off in negotiations.

Ricochet, 34, is one of the most dynamic wrestlers in WWE, known for his incredible athleticism and high-flying maneuvers. Having moved from the independent circuit to WWE, he broke onto the scene in 2018, quickly becoming a fan favorite and capturing multiple championships.

Although he is expected to re-sign, as of now, no official confirmation has been made. WWE and its fans are eagerly waiting to see whether this star will continue his association with the organization.
