Revealed Alternative Names Opponent For Usyk So Tyson Fury Can’t Fight Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua versus Tyson Fury remains a heavyweight fight many boxing fans are still very keen to see.

An all-British showdown has been tantalisingly out of reach for several years despite both men operating at the top of the sport.
The first spanner in the works came when Joshua infamously lost to Andy Ruiz Jr at Madison Square Garden in New York in 2019. After rebuilding and getting himself back to winning ways, the fight came close to being signed a few years ago before Deontay Wilder took court action to ensure that he got his trilogy fight with Fury, having drawn one and lost one of the first two contests.

‘The Gypsy King’ came through that but AJ, in the meantime, went on to lose back-to-back world title fights against Oleksandr Usyk so was again put back into rebuild mode.

Most recently it is Tyson Fury who lost to Usyk which paid to a Joshua fight, at least for now.

However, former cruiserweight champion Tony Bellewhas been speaking on his own podcast and believes the fight could still be made.

It would require Fury to swerve the Usyk rematch and for the Ukrainian to find a new opponent and Bellew believes Joseph Parker should be that man.

After Usyk defeated Tyson Fury one of the organisations tried to put a sanction on him as if to say ‘you’ve got to face this guy or you’ll be stripped of one of your titles’, This is boxing shooting itself in the foot again, this is where politics plays a part and we have got to get away from that.

The Fury-Usyk fight has to be done again for the undisputed title, all the belts have to be on the line 100%.

If the Usyk and Fury rematch doesn’t materialise then Oleksandr Usyk should be allowed to choose the next available contender, number two.

I can’t take anything away from Joseph Parker he’s been absolutely brilliant. If the rematch doesn’t materialise then let Usyk fight Parker and let Fury fight AJ. Those fights on the same night and same card would be absolutely astronomical. That’s me thinking out loud.”

Former champion Parker is on a fine run of his own having beaten Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang in his last two fights and would no doubt jump at a shot at becoming two-time champion.
