Shedeur Sanders is expected to be a premium draft pick in 2025. But, according to certain sources, he won’t go to any team.
One such source has made claims of the Colorado Buffaloes quarterback preparing himself to be drafted by either the Las Vegas Raiders or Dallas Cowboys. He has made little secret of his infatuation with the Raiders, with mentor Tom Brady now part of the ownership.
He also has ties to the Cowboys, with his father, Deion Sanders, having won a Super Bowl with the team. The CU star was also raised in Dallas.
According to the NFL Rookie Watch account on X, the QB would reject the New York Giants or Cleveland Browns if they selected him, much like Eli Manning refused to play for the San Diego Chargers in 2004.
“Many NFL scouts reportedly believe the Giants will end up “settling” for Cam Ward, knowing Sanders wouldn’t play for them,” the account added.
Fans Had Mixed Reactions To Reports Of Shedeur Sanders’ Draft Desires
As you would imagine, the reactions were mixed on social media.
“I hope we do trade Dak and draft Shedeur. That would be awesome,” a Cowboys fan wrote.
“Doesn’t want to go to a team where his career ends before it starts,” someone else suggested.
“Each year we have this then comes draft day and nothing happens and probably never going to happen that manning draft was a one time thing that happen several years ago,” a skeptical fan claimed.
Shedeur Sanders also stirred conversation on his draft destination this week after getting spotted throwing passes to a star NFL wide receiver.
