REPORT: Kansas City Chiefs Are Expected To Help The Cincinnati Bengals In Their Quest To Make The NFL Playoffs
The Cincinnati Bengals did their part on Sunday to keep their playoff hope alive, but as the final weeks go on, they will need help from the Kansas City Chiefs.
They started the season 1-4 and were 4-8 at the start of December.
Joe Burrow and the Bengals have now won three straight games, improving to 7-8 on the year.
According to the New York Times, the Cincinnati Bengals have a 4% chance of making the playoffs.
The Chiefs have a chance to help them get there.
If the Chiefs lock up the number one seed in the AFC playoffs, they are expected to still play their starters in their final game of the regular season.
Multiple things have to happen for the Bengals to make the postseason, and it starts with winning their final two games against the Broncos and Steelers.
The Cincinnati Bengals also need the Broncos to lose to the Chiefs in Week 18.
THE #CHIEFS WILL HELP THE #BENGALS MAKE THE PLAYOFFS…#Chiefs will likely not sit their players in their final game, even if they clinch the #1 seed vs the Steelers.
With the game this Wednesday, it’d mean 25 days off before the 2nd playoff round—far too long a rest.
This is quite the need as the Bengals have gone head-to-head in back-to-back AFC Championship games, with both teams advancing to the Super Bowl against the other.
Now, the Bengals need one of their most hated rivals to help them out.
