Real Madrid have started planning their next free transfer, with Ibrahima Konate reportedly top of their list. The Liverpool defender is under contract until 2026, but Madrid are already monitoring his situation.

According to Marca, Madrid have followed the same approach with players like Alaba, Rudiger, and Alexander-Arnold. All of them were targeted during the final year of their deals. The club sees Konate as the next name on that list.

The report states: “Real Madrid continue with their policy of signings in the last year of the contract and they already have the next one on their list, for June 2026.”

Konate has been a regular at Liverpool when fit and remains one of the most highly rated defenders in Europe. No agreement is close yet, but Madrid have made their interest clear.
