In a rare public appearance together, Queen Camilla and her ex-husband, Andrew Parker Bowles, reunited at the launch of their son Tom Parker Bowles’s new book in London. The event, held on Thursday evening, marked the upcoming release of Cooking and The Crown: Royal Recipes From Queen Victoria To King Charles III, which features royal recipes, including Queen Camilla’s porridge and George V’s curry.

Camilla, 77, and Andrew, 84, who were married for 22 years before divorcing in 1995, have maintained a notably close relationship despite their separation. The former couple put on a friendly display at the event, demonstrating their enduring bond. Queen Camilla was accompanied by her daughter Laura Lopes, her sister Annabel Eliot, and Andrew’s niece Louisa.

Camilla, now married to King Charles III since 2005, wore a stylish monochrome polka dot maxi dress. Andrew Parker Bowles, who was also present at King Charles’s coronation last year, is currently dating TV presenter Anne Robinson. Despite their separate lives, the pair remains close, with a mutual friend once remarking, “They are joined at the hip. He arranges so much for her.”

Their friendship has withstood the test of time, with Andrew often seen supporting Camilla at various royal events. Their amicable relationship is a testament to their shared history and mutual respect, as they continue to co-parent their children and navigate their roles in each other’s lives.

Tom Parker Bowles’s book is set for release on September 26, 2024, and offers a glimpse into the culinary history of the British royal family, from Queen Victoria to the present monarch, King Charles III.
