Prince William has set a significant condition before entering into pivotal discussions with his brother, Prince Harry. The two brothers, who are currently not on speaking terms, briefly came face-to-face at their uncle’s funeral in Norfolk last week. However, they did not interact during the event.

A source close to the royal family revealed that both William and Harry are open to the possibility of reconciliation. The source stated that Harry is ready to work toward repairing their relationship, acknowledging that it would be a difficult process. However, William insists on a “fresh start” where past disputes would not be brought up during discussions.

The insider explained: “William is not against reconciling with his brother at some point, but it would need to begin on new terms, where past issues are off the table.”

Despite the potential for reconciliation, it has been reported that Harry is seeking an apology from William before considering a return to his royal duties. Since stepping back from his role in the monarchy nearly five years ago, Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have been living in the United States with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Harry has also expressed concerns about his family’s safety when visiting the UK, stating that he will not bring Meghan back unless there is an improvement in their security provisions. Meghan has not been to the UK since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022.
