Prince Harry’s once-close relationships with Kate, William, and King Charles reportedly collapsed following the release of his controversial memoir Spare. The autobiography, published in January 2023, revealed shocking claims about key members of the royal family, including accusations against Kate, William, and Queen Camilla.
In his memoir, Harry claimed that William criticized Meghan Markle, labeling her “difficult,” “rude,” and “abrasive.” These personal revelations reportedly left William and Kate feeling betrayed, with sources suggesting they now struggle to trust Harry. According to royal experts, Harry’s relationships with his family have deteriorated since the book’s release, and no signs of reconciliation have emerged.
The memoir’s fallout also affected Harry’s standing with his father, King Charles, particularly after Harry referred to Queen Camilla as his “wicked stepmother” and the “other woman.” Soon after the memoir’s release, King Charles asked Harry and Meghan to vacate their UK residence at Frogmore Cottage. Despite the ongoing tensions, Harry’s memoir will be re-released in paperback this October, though it will not include new revelations.
