PHOTO: Amazon Prime Totally Embarrassed Themselves With One Of The Worst Graphics Imaginable During 49ers-Rams ‘Thursday Night Football’
NFL fans are in stitches after Amazon Prime Video identified the wrong San Francisco 49ers player as Trent Williams during their ‘Thursday Night Football’ game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Trent Williams missed his fourth straight game this week with an ongoing ankle injury. The 49ers (5-7) are in must-win territory against the NFC West rival Rams, who are just one game behind the Seattle Seahawks for tops in the division.
During the broadcast, the Amazon Prime Video cameras cut to inactive 49ers defensive tackle Nesta Jade Silvera on the sidelines. They used a graphic that incorrectly labeled him as Williams:
Needless to say, social media had a field day poking fun at Amazon for mistakingly labeling this guy as Trent Williams:
“I think that’s actually Kent Williams,” one fan joked.
“That’s Rent Williams,” another teased.
“I was thinking same thing like he way bigger than that dude?,” a fan asked.
“I was hoping someone caught that,” wrote another.
“Either that’s not Trent Williams or he went through a major makeover,” a fan said.
“Had one job,” one fan stated.
“I had to say wait hold up they can’t be serious LOL,” another user said.
“Shoutout to former Raider Nesta Jade Silvera who apparently became 11-time Pro Bowler Trent Williams overnight, according to the broadcast,” one fan joked.
49ers Need Trent Williams Back
The 49ers have been decimated by injuries all season long, with the likes of Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle, Nick Bosa and Trent Williams all missing time. The former two are done for the year, but a healthy Williams would go a long way in helping their playoff push.
