Phil Mickelson didn’t exactly get the positive reactions after joining LIV Golf, but years later he’s still adamant he made the right decision. The veteran golfer excelled at LIV Golf Hong Kong, finishing T3. It was also the best performance yet from the veteran golfer, who believes he still has the fire and passion to succeed in him.

After the tournament, Phil admitted that winning a LIV event is his biggest dream.
“I would love nothing more”- he said, as quoted by brobible.
Phil Mickelson put special emphasis on winning the team tournament. Although he played in the Ryder Cup and had many great moments and successes, winning the LIV team event is his biggest wish. The experienced golfer trusts and hopes that the future can bring such great moments for him.
Phil Mickelson shares his goals
“One of my goals is to win a LIV event. But the experience of sharing it with teammates… we’ve not won as a team. I’ve not ever won as a team in professional golf outside of the Ryder Cup, and even that was very few times, and it would mean a lot for — I think that would probably mean a little more, which is very unusual to say in a game that’s such an individual sport.”- he said.
Phil added that it would be a special achievement for the team, especially considering all the hard work they have put in to bounce back from a difficult year. He pointed out that their early success in Week 3 at LIV is a good sign, and even though they have another final round to go, he believes they have the right players to finish with a strong performance.
Interestingly, the man who once dominated the PGA Tour is now part of the Saudi backed Tour. Few believed that such things could happen in the golf scene, but it seems we have become accustomed to the chaos that has reigned for a few years now.
