Tardozzi raises the alarm: “This Marc Márquez is a beast… and he will remain dangerous for another 5 years!”
Ducati team manager Davide Tardozzi has turned the spotlight on the Marc Márquez phenomenon, declaring that the Spaniard, in his current form, could represent a threat to the entire MotoGP paddock for at least another four or five years.

The eight-time world champion has started the 2025 season with a devastating impact: four sprint wins out of four and three successes in the first four Grands Prix. After his triumph in Qatar, Márquez leads the standings with a 17-point advantage over his brother Alex (Gresini) and a whopping 26 over Pecco Bagnaia, his teammate in the official team.
Interviewed by AS, Tardozzi said:
“Marc lapped in 1’52”5 and 1’52”6 with five laps to go. This means only one thing: he is the king.”
“Today, in our garage, we have the king and the prince: 11 world titles between the two. A lethal combination.”
Although expecting Bagnaia to return to prominence during the championship, Tardozzi does not hide his admiration – and perhaps even a pinch of fear – for Márquez’s current level:
“The Marc of today is better than the one of the past. He has matured, he knows when to take risks and when to settle for second place. This makes him even more dangerous.”
According to him, the Spaniard has learned to look at the bigger picture, aiming for the title with clarity and cool blood:
“Today he knows he has to win the world championship. Afterwards, he can also have fun. But the objective is now clear.”
Confirming Ducati’s dominance, Márquez already has an 85-point advantage over the best non-Ducati rider (Johann Zarco, LCR Honda), while the Borgo Panigale manufacturer leads the constructors’ standings with a 99-point margin over Honda. In the team standings, the gap from the best non-Ducati team is as much as 174 points.
