Patrick Mahomes hinted at wanting “a bit of the credit” for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s blossoming relationship. On an episode of “The Pat McAfee Show” aired recently, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback shared insights into how he facilitated the union, unveiling himself as a key player in their journey to becoming America’s beloved couple.
In a prior episode of his own “New Heights” podcast, Kelce recounted attending Swift’s Eras Tour stop in Kansas City, Missouri, last July, with the intention of presenting her with a friendship bracelet bearing his contact details. Although he couldn’t execute his plan, his message reached Swift, prompting her to reach out.
“I was the one who invited Travis to his inaugural Taylor concert,” Mahomes disclosed on “The Pat McAfee Show.” “He was seated in my suite, so I feel like I played matchmaker.”
Furthermore, Mahomes revealed his involvement in encouraging Kelce to make the bold move with the bracelet.
“I nudged him, saying, ‘Dude, just do it. Take the chance,'” he reminisced. “You know Travis, he’s got that go-for-it attitude, and he’s an exceptional guy. I’m thrilled it all panned out for the best.”
