WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan died at the age of 71 on July 24, 2025.
Hogan has actually been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice, first in 2005 as an individual and then again in 2020 as a member of the New World Order, or nWo.
Hogan’s manager told Newsweek that his death was the result of a heart attack.
Sadly, we confirm that Terry Bollea, also known as Hulk Hogan, passed away this morning, said Linda Boss. “We are deeply saddened. He was a wonderful human being and a dear friend.”
Hogan’s body was also spotted on a stretcher being removed from his Clearwater, Florida, home, which is now valued at approximately $5 million, according to Realtor.com.
The video, which shows the process of transporting his body, shows more than a dozen emergency services personnel around him, placing his body on a stretcher.
It’s hard to tell from the video, but it appears the emergency workers are not performing any chest compressions as part of CPR.
Several police cars can be seen in the video, as well as trash cans marked “Clearwater.”
The Clearwater Police Department said emergency responders responded to a call about a cardiac arrest at approximately 9:51 a.m. at Hogan’s home in Clearwater Beach.
Clearwater’s mayor, fans, and celebrities alike have paid tribute to the wrestling icon since the news broke.
Actor Sylvester Stallone, star of the Rocky film series , said on his Instagram account that he feels deeply sad.
He said: “I had the honor of meeting this amazing person and showman when he was 26 years old. He was absolutely amazing, and his amazing skill made Rocky III so special. My heart breaks. I think he’s gone.”
He was also praised by wrestling legend The Undertaker, whose real name is Mark Calaway.
“The wrestling world has lost a true legend. His contributions to our world are immeasurable, and for that I am grateful,” he wrote in a post on X. “Thank you, Hulk Hogan.”
In a post on X, Clearwater Mayor Bruce Rector described Hogan as an “inspiration” to the community and others.
He said, “He was very proud of his hometown and was very active in our community. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. His memory will live on in our city.”
