Oleksandr Usyk Responds to PED Accusations After Tyson Fury Win – “A BUNCH OF FOOLS”

Oleksandr Usyk has fiercely denied accusations of using performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) during his victory over Tyson Fury. The Ukrainian boxer, who became the undisputed heavyweight champion by beating Fury on points in May, was accused by some fans of using an inhaler during the fight, based on a misleading snapshot.

Addressing the allegations, Usyk told Boxing King Media, “Stupid people. Listen, I never used any substance. Never. I’m clean. The cross, it’s my doping. My belief is my doping. Jesus, my family, my team, my country – this is my doping.”

The controversy arose from footage showing Usyk holding an object to his mouth while in his corner, which some speculated was an inhaler. However, it was actually his crucifix. The use of an inhaler is illegal in boxing as fighters are only allowed water and Vaseline during bouts.

Despite these false claims, Usyk’s performance against Fury was praised as he outboxed his opponent to secure the victory. Their rematch is scheduled for December 21, where Fury will seek revenge.

Usyk’s achievement in defeating Fury and becoming the first four-belt undisputed heavyweight champion highlights his remarkable career. The upcoming rematch promises to be another intense encounter, with Usyk aiming to maintain his unbeaten record.
