“Squid Game”: The third season of the Netflix hit will be released in 2025
The doll also became an important marketing tool for Netflix. In some cities, meter-high figures were set up to advertise Season 2. Now it’s certain: the third season of the streaming hit will be released this year. However, a poster shows not only the doll Young-hee, but also another, male doll . Director Hwang Dong-hyuk revealed what it’s all about in an interview with “Entertainment Weekly”: “This is actually a [sneak peek] of Cheol-su, who, like Young-hee, is a new giant doll that we’ll be showing in Season 3.”
The successful series creator also teases: “This is also a hint for the most exciting game in season 3. Even though it hasn’t been revealed yet, I hope everyone will be excited about Cheol-su and the new game.” Pictures already show that it will be a modified version of “Red Light, Green Light.”
The two puppets are standing at a railroad crossing, which will probably be part of the new challenge. The start date for the third and final season of “Squid Game” is not yet known . There is currently speculation that it will appear in the summer or fall of this year. It was filmed together with the second season.
