Mr. Trump replaced the National Security Advisor

President Trump appointed Foreign Minister Rubio as a national security adviser, after nominating Mike Waltz as US ambassador to the United Nations.

“I would like to announce that I will nominate Mike Waltz as the US Ambassador to the United Nations. From the time of the army, on the battlefield, in the National Assembly and as a national security adviser, Mike Waltz has worked all the way to bring the national interest to the top. I believe he will do so in a new position,” US President Donald Trump announced on May 1.

The US Ambassador to the United Nations is the position that needs to be approved by the Senate. Trump previously selected Elise Stefanik, New York Republic of the Republic of New York, in this position but withdrew nominations in late March.

“Together, we will continue to struggle non -stop to bring the United States and the world safely again. Thank you for your interest in this issue!”, Mr. Trump said.

Mr. Waltz later expressed “extremely honored to continue serving President Trump and the great American country”.

President Trump also said he would appoint Foreign Minister Marco Rubio as a national security adviser during the time to find a replacement. Rubio will be the first to hold these two positions at the same time since the 1970s.

“When I had a problem, I called Marco. He finished his resolution,” President Trump said at the previous press conference at the White House.

The US media said that the special envoy of the Middle East Steve Witkoff would be the one who undertaken the position of National Security Advisor in the long term.

This was Mr. Trump’s first notable personnel change in the second term. The move took place after the US government in March undergo a chat group about the Houthi forces attacking campaign in Yemen, the most serious scandal since Mr. Trump returned to its power.

A journalist was then accidentally added to the chat group of the White House officials on the Signal messaging app. Mr. Waltz took responsibility and was defended by President Trump to overcome the scandal.

Previous sources said that in addition to Waltz, President Trump also replaced the National Security Advisor Alex Wong, an Asian expert at the US State Department in his first term. The White House has not spoken about the information.

During the first term, Mr. Trump had 4 national security advisors including Michael Flynn, H. R. McMaster, John Bolton and Robert O’Brien.
