Before his tragic death, Diogo Jota experienced a “happy moment”.
The 28 -year -old Jota, together with her brother Andre Silva, lost her life in a car accident when her car, a Lamborghini, left the street due to the outbreak of a tire when she overtook another vehicle and caught fire.
Before the accident, the striker had spoken to the President of Gondomar when he was in the car to Zamora, Spain.
According to reports, Álvaro Cerqueira, President of Gondomar SC, was one of the last people with whom Diogo Jota spoke before the tragedy: he had spoken to the Liverpool star a few hours before his death.
“It had just passed last night, we spoke on the phone and it went well,” the president of the club, in which Jota started growing and took his first steps to become a world -famous player.

Cerqueira and Jota had regular conversations: “We spoke almost every week and I knew it had a lot of fun,” he added.
Although Jota played for Liverpool and André Silva in the last two seasons, the field of the São Miguel Stadium was always available to the brothers.
When Diogo had to train from the season, he asked to come here, and we always made it available to all the necessary materials. His brother also came and both trained.
