10 MINUTES AGO: Shocking details of Liam Payne’s death after falling from a balcony at the age of 31 have left many fans terrified.

Liam Payne, former member of the band One Direction, fell from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16 and could not survive due to multiple injuries. The tragic death of the male singer born in 1993 shocked many people. 

According to PEOPLE, a guest staying at the same hotel as Liam Payne said he heard loud noises and screaming before the incident occurred. 

And according to the initial autopsy results just announced, the singer had 25 injuries, including a massive head wound that could have caused immediate death. Liam Payne suffered internal and external bleeding to the skull, chest, abdomen, and limbs that caused his death. The injuries were also consistent with Liam Payne falling from a height of approximately 13-14 meters to the ground.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident. They also determined that the victim was suffering from a flare-up due to the effects of substance abuse. Based on the position of the fall and the injuries to his body, prosecutors said Liam Payne did not attempt to protect himself when he fell and may have been partially unconscious at the time of the accident.

Authorities also found strange substances that appeared to be drugs and alcohol in Liam Payne’s hotel room. Some of the room’s furniture was also destroyed. Five witnesses, including two women and three hotel staff members who had contact with the singer before his fall, have also worked with police to provide testimony that could help clarify the cause of Liam Payne’s death. The male singer is said to have behaved in an unusual manner before his death and hotel staff reported this to 911.
