When appearing at the Shanghai International Film Festival, Donnie Yen shared his experience filming Ip Man 3 with Mike Tyson in 2015. The 57-year-old martial arts star admitted that he was worried about his life when filming a fighting scene with “Iron Fist”.

“When I act with him, I remind myself to be very attentive. I don’t dare to think that I’m just filming. I see it as a real fight in the ring and it’s a matter of life and death. I don’t let myself be distracted for even a second. Because if I get hit, not only will I be knocked out, I could also lose my life,” the famous actor shared.

In Ip Man 3 , Donnie Yen had a nearly 3-minute martial arts fight with Mike Tyson. He revealed that he almost got hit by the “Iron Fist”.

“It was dangerous. I felt the air move when he punched, like a truck coming towards me. That wind still lingers in my mind, it was dangerous. His fist was so big and touched my hair.”

Donnie Yen is a famous martial arts star from Hong Kong (China). Although he is about to turn 60, he still appears regularly on screen, most recently in Mulan, released early last year. Donnie Yen has a black belt in Taekwondo, Judo and a belt in hongmen jujitsu.

Meanwhile, Mike Tyson is the youngest heavyweight champion in history, with a record of 44 wins and 6 losses in the professional arena.
