Mike Tyson almost went bankrupt after losing $400 million when he gave a supercar to his opponent who beat him

According to Sportico, Mike Tyson is the second highest-earning boxer in history, after Floyd Mayweather, with a total of $875 million (converted to current prices). However, the ‘Iron Fist’ is famous for throwing money away. As a result, he had to declare bankruptcy in 2003.

In a recent podcast, former UFC champion Henry Cejudo revealed that Mike spent $400 million. Mike himself admitted that he would do things differently if he could go back in time.

Mike Tyson earned hundreds of millions of dollars during his playing days.

“If I could do it all over again, I would invest in real estate, buy apartments all over the world. Every year, I would go there to stay for a few days,” Mike said.

While chatting with guests, the youngest heavyweight boxing champion in history also confirmed the story of giving a car to Henry Tillman is true.

Accordingly, once Mike was driving an expensive Lamborghini, Tillman came over and complimented the car. Seeing that, Mike immediately gave this car to Tillman. It should be added that Tillman is Mike’s rival with many fates. Each side has 1 win – 1 loss after 2 meetings.

Not only Tillman, Mike also gave cars to friends and relatives. “What did I do with $400 million? I hung out with guys who had nothing. What kind of a person would I be if I didn’t share my wealth with them?”, Mike explained his actions.

After retiring from professional boxing, the 56-year-old former boxer has been spending wisely. His assets are now estimated at around $10 million. In 2020, he returned to the ring to compete with Roy Jones and won a draw. This is likely to be Mike’s last fight.
