Meghan Markle’s Approval Rating Soars In New Poll As Duchess Closes In On Prince William

In a surprising shift, Meghan Markle’s popularity is rising among Britain’s younger generation, positioning her closer to Prince William in the latest YouGov poll. Despite ongoing public scrutiny, the Duchess of Sussex has seen a significant boost in approval from Generation Z, with 48% of young Brits viewing her favorably, giving her a net positive rating of 18%.

Though still not surpassing the 50% overall positive rating, Meghan now ranks just behind key members of the Royal Family such as Prince William, Princess Kate, and Princess Anne, who hold net favorability scores of 20%, 23%, and 22% respectively among this demographic.

The poll highlights an intriguing contrast between younger and older Britons. While Generation Z rates Meghan and Prince Harry positively, the majority of older demographics, particularly Conservative voters and over-65s, continue to view them unfavorably. Both royals face steep negative ratings, with Meghan scoring as low as -80% among Conservative voters.

King Charles also shows a split in public perception. While Generation Z views him with a net negative rating, his overall favorability remains solid with a 34% score among the broader UK population. In contrast, Prince Andrew remains the most unpopular royal, suffering from a staggering -93% net favorability rating.

As the royal landscape evolves, Meghan’s rising approval among the younger generation presents a new dynamic, with her and Prince Harry maintaining a unique appeal to a key demographic. However, they still face challenges in winning over the broader British public.
