This trip, intended to focus on combating cyberbullying and discussing mental health, has been described by Parry as a part of Meghan’s efforts to be seen as a significant figure, possibly even in politics.

Parry expressed his concerns on GB News, saying, “I feel increasingly sorry for Harry because I think he’s getting isolated, and I can see him coming back within the next two years.” He further criticized the couple’s choice of Colombia for their tour, referring to it as a “desperate” attempt to stay in the public eye. “They must have spent the last three months desperately searching for a country where they could do a royal tour,” Parry added.

Matthew Stadlen, in response, argued that the Sussexes’ work in Colombia is focused on worthy causes, such as promoting mental health for children and combating cyberbullying. “Why not focus on that? It seems like a very worthy thing to be doing,” Stadlen remarked.

The Sussexes’ visit to Colombia was prompted by an invitation from Vice President Márquez, who had been moved by their Netflix series. Márquez emphasized the importance of Meghan’s presence, saying, “We wanted to invite Meghan, an Afro-descendant woman, to share her experiences.”
