Meghan And Harry Lose Another Staffer As Huge Turnover Continues

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have experienced another staffing setback as a senior advisor leaves their Archewell Foundation. Christine Schirmer, who joined the nonprofit in 2020—the year it was founded—recently departed her role. Schirmer initially served as communications director before transitioning to senior advisor in 2021. Her departure marks yet another high-profile exit from the organization.

Schirmer’s next career move takes her to Brunswick Group, a well-known public relations firm. Her exit adds to a growing list of staff departures from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s team, reportedly reaching at least 18 since the couple married in 2018. Notably, over nine of these exits have occurred since Meghan and Harry relocated to the United States in 2020.

This recent departure follows that of Josh Kettler, their Chief of Staff, who stepped down after just three months on the job. Kettler had joined Harry on his latest trip to the UK in May and was seen as a guide for Harry in his next career phase. Reports suggest his departure was a mutual decision, with both sides agreeing he wasn’t the right fit for the role.

The high turnover rate among Meghan and Harry’s staff has sparked discussions about the challenges of working for the couple. A former employee shared with The Daily Mail: “During my time there, I never heard a single current or former employee express a desire to return. These weren’t just random hires; many had previously thrived under demanding bosses in high-stakes environments.”

This pattern of turnover extends beyond Archewell. Meghan and Harry are also facing difficulties filling a leadership role for Meghan’s new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. Despite launching the brand earlier this year, the couple has struggled to find a CEO. Insiders suggest this may be due to Meghan and Harry’s demanding management style. A source told Closer, “Harry and Meghan are known to be very tough bosses, which can be off-putting for potential hires.”

As the Duke and Duchess continue to shape their post-royal careers, these staffing challenges highlight the complexities of their transition. With a series of high-profile exits and ongoing recruitment issues, questions remain about how the couple will manage their team dynamics moving forward.

GB News has reached out to representatives for the Sussexes for comment but has not yet received a response.
