Scandal after PSG – Real: Mbappé denounces an irresponsible attitude of his own club

While Paris Saint-Germain celebrated its large 4-0 victory against Real Madrid, an unexpected controversy broke out behind the scenes. The captain of the French team, Kylian Mbappé, spoke to firmly condemn the behavior of certain members of his own club.

Provocations in the filmed tunnel
According to several sources present at the stadium and supported by video images that have become viral on social networks, PSG members – players and staff – openly caused Real Madrid players in the tunnel leading to the locker room. We see in particular mocking laughter, ironic gestures and inappropriate remarks targeting the Madrid stars, visibly in shock after the heavy defeat.

Kylian Mbappé, however captain and figurehead of the Parisian club, was quick to react.
Mbappé furious: “This is not the PSG that I represent”
In a statement made to the press a few hours after the meeting, Mbappé was particularly annoyed:
“I am deeply disappointed with what I saw. This kind of behavior is unacceptable. You can win with pride, but not by humiliating the opponent. This is not the PSG I want to represent. »»
The star striker, who has excellent relationships with several Real players, would even have tried to calm the situation in the tunnel, without much success.
A growing discomfort within the locker room?
This public release of Mbappé did not fail to react. Some observers see it as a sign of growing tension between the player and the club management, especially in a context where his future is still uncertain.
Rumors already evoke a tense exchange between Mbappé and certain staff members in the locker room after the match. If the atmosphere was at the party for many, the Parisian number 7, it seemed obviously upset by the attitude of its teammates.
PSG in the eye of the media cyclone
On the Spanish media side, the reactions were lively. Madrid newspapers have denounced a “premeditated humiliation” orchestrated by PSG, some even calling UEFA to investigate incidents in the tunnel.
In Paris, the club’s management has so far not officially commented on the case, but internal sources claim that a disciplinary meeting could be organized to shed light on the facts.
Towards internal sanctions?
Mbappé, by taking a position also publicly, puts direct pressure on the club so that it reacts. There would be a question of reminders or even sanctions towards the players involved in these provocations.
In a club that dreams of greatness and exemplarity on the European scene, this type of driving gap could tarnish the image of PSG internationally.
