Jake Paul may have found a replacement opponent for his now-postponed fight against Mike Tyson, setting the stage for a potential family affair.
MVP Promotions announced on Friday that the Paul vs. Tyson boxing match, originally scheduled for June 7 in Dallas, has been postponed. The delay was attributed to health concerns for Tyson, who recently experienced a medical emergency due to an ulcer flare-up.
The bout is expected to be rescheduled for later in 2024. However, if the promotion decides to go in a different direction, Jake’s brother Logan Paul has offered to step in.
“So Mike Tyson’s out? I’ll step in and we can settle this once and for all @jakepaul,” Logan wrote on X.
Jake quickly responded, “Mom doesn’t want me to KO you, but f*ck it. Loser has to change their last name.”
Both Paul brothers have explored boxing to varying degrees and have hinted at a showdown between them on multiple occasions. Logan has shared the ring with fellow YouTuber KSI, former Bellator fighter Dillon Danis, and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr.
While Logan has recently focused more on his WWE career, Jake has dedicated himself to boxing. Since his professional debut in 2020, Jake has competed in 10 professional bouts against a mix of YouTubers, professional boxers, and former MMA champions such as Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, and Anderson Silva.
With the possibility of an all-Paul brothers match, fans might see an exciting twist to the originally planned fight card.
