Logan Paul has confirmed that discussions took place for him to step in and fight his brother, Jake Paul, following Mike Tyson’s withdrawal from their scheduled bout due to health concerns.

Tyson, who was set to face Jake, had to pull out after suffering health complications on a recent flight. Despite being given the all-clear by physicians, the impact on his training camp was too significant, leading to the fight’s postponement.

In an unexpected turn, Logan Paul offered to take Tyson’s place. Although the idea garnered interest, it is unlikely to move beyond preliminary talks. The original fight with Mike Tyson has now been rescheduled for November 15, effectively shelving the potential Logan vs. Jake matchup.

Logan discussed the situation on his podcast, sharing insights with former US President and ex-boxing promoter Donald Trump. “I was willing to step in for Mike Tyson when Tyson got sick and had to postpone his fight. We actually ran it up the chain at Netflix,” Logan revealed.

Trump’s response highlighted the difficulty of brothers fighting each other, to which Logan replied, “Not for Netflix. Not for a big ‘ole bag. Figure it out once and for all. Me and Jake decided that, obviously we both come from a place of love. And whatever the outcome would be, we would have to be okay with it. But obviously, I love my brother.”

Logan, 29, and Jake, 27, both started their boxing careers around the same time but have since taken different paths. Jake boasts a 9-1 record with aspirations for a world title, with his only loss being to Tommy Fury. Logan, meanwhile, has focused on exhibition matches, including a notable bout against Floyd Mayweather, and is currently the United States champion in WWE.

While the idea of a brotherly showdown captured the imagination of fans and media alike, it appears that, for now, Logan and Jake will continue their respective careers without stepping into the ring against each other.
