Little-known stipulation of the Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk rematch

Tyson Fury has invoked the rematch clause against Oleksandr Usyk, potentially setting the stage for another shot at undisputed glory. Despite losing his WBC heavyweight world title to Usyk, Fury is gearing up for a swift return to the ring in Riyadh within just four months.

The £100 million deal secures his immediate rematch, with the possibility of vying for all four belts again, pending Usyk’s medical suspension until June 2, preventing the IBF from stripping him of his title.

Initially, there were talks of the titles being contested between Filip Hrgovic and Daniel Dubois, but with Usyk’s suspension in place, that scenario is off the table. Barring any unforeseen injuries, both fighters are anticipated to be back in top form well before November, aligning perfectly with Riyadh Season’s lineup of sporting events.

Fury’s own suspension, albeit brief, is set to conclude by May 25, allowing him to swiftly resume his quest for redemption.
